My mother has a Shakespeare Smoking stand, It used to have a little shakespeare dude on it, its all brass.
I have a couple pictures of it.
It also has some words on it. I believe it was from his work "Hamlet"
We've been looking for this for a while now, we do not know the exact name.

Maybe it is in the attic.

I've found some How-Tos on making bowls for decoration, but I'm not sure just a plain old record would stand up to having cigarettes put out on it, plus how could I plug up the hole & also not wreck the label on the record if I wanted to keep it intact? This isn't an necessity but it'd be nice. Thank in advance!

First, DON'T use vinyl records for cigarettes... the glowing end is way too hot and will burn the plastic (the resulting fumes wouldn't be very good for lungs either).

You could put a small glass, ceramic, or metal bowl or plate or something similar into the bottom of the vinyl bowl though --the part where the cig would be extinguished, etc.

Doing that would make the bottom of the bowl flat, but if you want to cover the hole visually (if not using as an ashtray especially), you could just glue a button, coin, or other flat-sh shape over the hole. Or you could fill the hole with an air-dry clay, or use a polymer clay. If you use a polymer clay, make the shape you want in the hole, then remove it and bake, and glue it back in (if the clay isn't firm enough to remove witthout distorting it, put the whole bowl in the frig or freezer for awhile to stiffen the clay up a bit).

It looks like salt. I am searching for silica. I know silica comes in the form of silica gel and in some white stones. I would like to use it to make homeopathic remedy for curing acne scars as I have read on a homeopathic forum.
