I'm building a poker table with built-in ashtrays and drink holders. I want to use those metal ashtrays that open up and dump ashes and butts into the bottom when u press the button on the side but i dont know what to call them in a web search.

I have no idea. Sorry - That is a tough one.

Maybe just put in a small description of what you are looking for and then sift through the links that come up.

I think I would try - specailty ashtrays, or opening bottom ashtrays etc...

Gray Lifelike Rose Emblema Cigarette Metal Ashtray

I left a great stand-up ashtray out on the balcony to get rained on and such and now its all rusty. Someone told me to use a light steel wool, but I'm afraid to. Any home remedys?

Take a brillo pad squeeze the cleaning soluton thats on the brillo pad onto a damp warm rag and then wipe the rust off if that doest work spray some WD40 it is made to fight rust Good Luck

I'm looking for a metal ashtray about 2-1/2 feet tall.

Go to your local convenience store and ask them if they have any in their storage room,and offer to take them off their hands for them---you'll be surprised.That's how my daughter got one for her Dad on his Birthday.We had it outside for people to use--plus he smokes Camel....
