I'm with Ken on this one! A "more money than brains" club member took me out on his custom built cigarette, triple screw with blown GM big blocks. Afterwards, he asked me how it felt to go 100mph, and if I wanted to go faster. With as much calm and savvy as I could muster through a quivering voice, I said " No, that'll do, it's amazing how unstable that feels at speed". Understatement of the year!
Cigarette Offshore Boat Jump
I want to put in a cigarette lighter socket in my boat so that I can plug in a Garmin GPS 12 navigator. That way I can use the boats car battery instead of 4 x AA batteries wich I would continually have to replace(only 24 hrs power). I could have the GPS system running continually as back up. I need a simple diagram on how to fit this cigarette lighter socket or simple instructions. Nothing too technical or you will lose me.

Health Concerns Involving electronic Cigarettes
Electronic cigarettes, also known as E cigarettes, are promoted as a way for smoker to quit smoking. Today, a person who smokes is hard pressed to find places that allow smoking. The pressure to quit is pervasive in advertising and doctor?s offices, yet the currently accepted quit methods don?t work well at all. Most have success rates of less than twenty percent, and many are closer to a ten percent quit rate. Many people find it difficult to maintain more usual prescription based or over the counter cessation products.
The common illnesses associated with smoking are well known, with Cancer being the number one concern. Other diseases include COPD, elevation of blood pressure to sometime dangerous levels, and exacerbation of other breathing problems and allergies including asthma. The dangers of second-hand smoke are also well known and now certain anti-smoking groups are talking about third-hand smoke as well.
Electronic cigarettes promise to change all of these concerns. The vendors and producers state that there are studies that show that E-Cigarettes with tobacco free e-Liquid is less dangerous than regular cigarettes, and that the health effects to those people around the smoker are nonexistent. While studies do exist and they say exactly that, they were funded by the companies in question.
The FDA conducted a study in 2009 that raised serious issues about E-cigarettes. Their study found that the two brands they tested varied greatly on quality. In some cases, there were cancer-producing agents known as Tobacco Specific Nitrosamines (TSNAs) in the product being sold. The FDA took issue also with the lack of specific direction for use and disposal of E-Cigarettes.
One of the primary concerns also expressed by the FDA was the idea that young people would be drawn to E-Cigarettes due to the multitude of flavors available. E-Cigarettes come with flavors such as vanilla and chocolate and this is seen as a way to draw people who have grown up on the warnings of regular cigarettes.
