Did you ever smoke (or see other women smoking) with a cigarette holder in 20s style?
This is not a question about smoke (by the way I don't smoke!) I'm just curious about style and look of people who like smoking

I recently bought a cigarette holder, about 2-3 inches long. I've been smoking the cigarettes with the filters still on them with it, but my friend tells me I should rip the filters off the cigarettes before using the holder. Who is right?

If you like it with the filters on - leave 'em on. If the holder has its own - so what! So you miss twice as much tar in your lungs.

I found a plastic cigarette holder on the ground- if I wash it thoroughly 3 times with soap and water and then boil it, should it be safe to use?
I just boiled it for like 7-8 mintes and it still smells like cigar from the last person who had it- does that mean there's shit in it and I just shouldn't use it?

Simple answer NO, you should never use anything that you pick up from the street, for 1 you don't know if the person who used it may have had something wrong with them, also it could be a disposable one that is thrown away after one use. Just one question would you eat a sweet that you found on the street,? answer no so why use or try to use something else that you found in the street.

I need an old fashioned cigarette holder as a costume prop. I cant find one anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas as to how i can make one?

Tinfoil maybe. Wrap it around a pencil. Then wrap some wire around it. Then wrap more tinfoil around it to hide the wire. I don't see it being easy. But it might work. But if you actually want to smoke out of it you'll have to buy one. Maybe at a thrift store or an antique store.

I bought a cigarette holder not too long ago, and it seems to be clogged all of a sudden. I'm sure rubbing alcohol would do the trick, but I'm out. I tried swishing it around in steaming hot water, but that only go out some of the resined tobacco on the inside.

Anybody have any other ideas?

oh, and pipecleaners don't fit in the small hole. :/

Using a craft needle (long, with a large eye), thread it with yarn as thick as will fit through the hole and run it through. Then you should be able to slide the yarn back and forth to clean out whatever is clogging it.
