I'm looking for a relatively small (say 4 inches by 2 by 1) case to carry cigarillos or cigarettes in my leather jacket. They don't need to hold more than two or three. All the case needs to do is protect its contents from dampness or crushing. Any recommendations?

I used to collect these cases and found that by far the best source for good examples is a car-boot sale or local open market with antiques stalls. Once, I managed to pick up a leather-clad brass 11-cigarette case from the 1940s for £3 in Greenwich!

Buying a cigarette case brand new will be difficult and expensive as smoking is not really the height of high-street fashion at the moment, so grab an antique one (they tend to show a bit of class too).

These used to be sold at kohls, jcpennys, etc...They don't make them any more and I like the style....and don't say EBay....one hasn't been posted on 2 years.

My husband's truck is less than 2 years old and I can barely stand to ride in it because of the cigarette odor. We've had other vehicles with leather interiors and never had this problem. We've cleaned the seats, doors, dash and all the interior with cleaning products made for leather and vinyl, but the smell is still overpowering. The whole interior has been detailed several times. The smell is not coming from the A/C vents or ashtray (we don't leave dirty ashtrays in our vehicles). We can smell it as soon as we open the doors, before the engine is even started.

Any suggestion would be appreciated, but air fresheners are not an option in this case.

Try giving the leather a good wash with saddle soap.It will condition the leather and it should leave it smelling fresh.
