How many calories are there in a cigarette? Spasificly a Marlboro, Virginia Slim. I looked all over the internet for the answer, and none of my friends know. Please help. Thank you.

Since smoke enters the lungs and then the chemicals inside of it enter the bloodstream through there, you cannot absorb any calories from smoke. Calories come from carbs, fats, or proteins that are ingested and then digested. And, by the way, if you were considering eating a cigarette, you should know that it can make you sick and could possibly be fatal.

It's true that smoking kills, so I urge you to work towards kicking the habit. Caloric intake will be the least of your problems when you have lung cancer... even if you're "lucky" and don't get cancer, the toxins will age your face, yellow your skin and teeth, and make your voice raspy and unattractive. Sorry to lecture you, I'm sure you're aware of these things, but even if you don't quit please be responsible and abstain from smoking in front of children or young adults who may see you doing it and pick up the deadly habit for themselves.

I stared smoking the imported Marlboro cigarettes in Korea in 2002 and then Korea started making their own Marlboro. This is what the store owners told me when I complained about the diifferent taste. Does the Korean made cigarette taste different to you and is it even legal to make a cigarette under the same name but with different methods? Or is it just my imagination? Or was I misinformed?

Yeah, I think I know what you mean..
I smoked Malboro lights, and they had a different flavour than back home in NZ...
Cambodia and Thailand have different tasting Malboro again.
Actually I think they have 'fake' everything though...

ugh people are idiots, i posted this a bit ago and they dont get it. ther is supposed to be a kkk synmbol as well as some other stuff on the box. its old school theory but me and some friends were just talking about it.

I know the rumors that if you look at the sides it's supposed to say "KKK." I personally think it's all in how you look at it. I don't believe it is anything intended to be racial, just happened to look that way. But like any subliminal messages, it's all in how you look at it, like the naked people in the camel on the Camel brand cigarettes. I know a lot of people that don't see it, I don't understand how they can miss it.... but that's the thing with subliminal messages, it can appear that way to some, but not to others.

To: :Lil Rico -- Actually there are different strands types of tobacco, try breaking open a cigarette and you'll notice lighter and darker breeds, I guess you'd say breeds, of tobacco.
--Infact, the really dark tobacco strands in a cigarette can cause an individual to halucinate if they were to smoke alot of just that dark breed of tobacco. The tobacco I am refering to is almost black and almost every brand of cigarette contains them. How I know this information is confidential.

Actually, there are many different types of tobacco. There is turkish, virginia, burley, etc. That is the difference in what you see when you break open a cigarette. Different brands have different combinations of these types. The "hallucination" element is completely untrue. As for your follow up, I would say that all are equally bad for you.

Smoking is a disease--but the advertising is always so cool--same as alcohol---why is this?-----what powers do the marketing people have over the masses?

What's that catchy western tune that appears in most of the late 60s and 70s Marlboro cigarette commercials? This has nothing to do with smoking so keep your nasty anti smoking blathering elsewhere.
