They are not vintage but if you go to your local liquor store you can buy cedar cigar boxes from them. Word of warning there is usually a waiting list so be prepared
Vintage Dunhill Cuban Cigars tasting with Cigar Aficionado...with Gordon Mott and David Savona.
Alot of the coins represent the cigar winning an award in the past. If you are referring to Dominican cigars with the same name as the Cuban, I am pretty sure the Cuban cigar won those awards.
I got a couple of macanudo vintage 1993 cigars in glass tubes....any idea how much they're worth or where i can find such information??
Thank you!!!
You have some primo cigars there. 1993 vintage refers to the year the tobacco was grown. 1993 was a exceptional year, the conditions were perfect, that is why they carry the vintage moniker. The tobacco was aged before they were put in the tubes, Macanudo markets them that way (tubos). Assuming they have be kept in a humidor up to now, they should be an enjoyable smoke. You can still buy them at cigar stores. The value should be about $10.00-15.00 each. Enjoy them, or get them to a cigar smoking friend to enjoy them for you.
My boyfriend & I are looking for a decadent way to end a fine meal we plan to have. How does this sound?: Fonseca Tawny 10 yr. Port, a couple of dark chocolate truffles, and a cigar afterwards. Any reccomendations on port & truffle combinations? Is adding a cigar afterwards too much? Neither of us have actually had any port wine before, but looking forward to trying it! I don't want anything vintage, don't want to deal with decantering & the price! Thanks!
the cigar is a perfect end to a decadent meal! My best reccomondation for the port wine is to go to a reputable store and ask the person who knows the most about wines. Explain your plan, telling him or her about the cigar and the truffles. This way they can find you a port that is reasonable, tasty, and goes well with the rest of the meal.
I just purchased a Mastro 'de Paja 50-75 vintage humidor. It is beautiful and tight; however, the humidifier had been removed. I was wondering in anyone could recommend a good humidifier, or where I can find a Mastro 'de Paja replacement. Thanks.
The easiest think to use is the drymistat humidity sticks. They regular humidity well and are inexpensive. They also last a long time. I put a link to one of the cheapest places to buy them. 2 or 3 of these in your humi and you will be good to go. If you prefer the pads, they have some of those on the site below as well. Good Luck.
