get some Murphy's Oil soap for wood pour some on- let it set on label for a few min then wipe label off with the soap

I'm planning on customising a bunch of wooden boxes, like jewelry boxes. But I can't find anywhere that sells them for cheap. most websites have already done thiers up and I dont want to spend loads of money on them only to do my own things to them.
Does anyone know anywhere in the UK that sells anything like it? or empty wooden Cigar boxes; because that would have the same effect. i want a few but the cheaper the better I say!
The closer to manchester the better. but i'm getting a bit desperate!

Ok, if you're prepared to go wholesale there's a company near Blackpool that imports wooden boxes from Poland, DarPol I believe they are called.
Their boxes are usually pre-decorated but at wholesale they are well priced and they may have some simpler designs (I used to order chess sets from them - so only paid a little attention to their other lines).
Hope this is of some use.
Why not see if you can find one like it on E-bay and see what they are selling it for?

I used ordinary white glue for craft, it work well.
The cigar box is wooden and empty. It says Brooks & Co's Exceptional Tebson quality very mild corona size. Then at the bottom it says none genuine without this signature, which is signed T.E. Brooks + Co. There is a broken green seal that says 50 cigars. I bought it in St. Augustine and am planning to make it into a music box for my mom. I paid $8 for it and I'm just curious as to a guess about how old it is?
Without more info, it is very difficult to say
