Felt Book

Answers

have you ever felt sad about finishing a book because you have to say goodbye to the characters?
Nail polish

you know when you finish a really good book and become completely absorbed in the story and grown to love the characters, isn't it hard to finish it because that's the end? you just want to know more, more about the characters & what happens, it's kind of like losing a friend. can anyone relate?

Definitely. This also happens with some good games, anime, and normal shows. I have even had a few cases where I refused to finish the book/game/show/anime just because I refused to let it end. In some ways it is how I judge them, If I don't regret it ending then it might have been "good" but it wasn't great.

This was requested a LONG time ago. Enjoy!

Have you read the twilight book and felt left out because you are the only one that doesnt like it :s?
Mending Walls

So all my friends have read the complete series and have been going on about this book for agess! then when i finally get a chance to read it... i dont like it. they are always using that against me now [but they are my friends, so ti was kinda in a jokey way]... have you not enjoyed the book and stopped reading it aswell?

Wow, you should be proud of yourself. I don't just "not like" that series, I DETEST it. It's horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE. It is incredibly boring, has no plot, has one dimensional characters, and teaches horrible lessons. You should be proud of yourself for realizing that that dreadful series wasn't good. I read it before it became popular and I hated it. Everyone else was madly in love with generic, controlling, stalker boyfriend Edward, while I wanted to kill him and his generic Mary Sue girlfriend Bella.

Atheists, have you ever suggested that a christian read a book that you felt strongly should convince them?
Cupcake

that believing in God is silly and the absurdity of religion. Only to have have them read the book and still remain a christian. Why do you think they didn't get the same out it as you did? What book did you suggest to them. What was their review of it?

Christians, has this happened to you. What book did an atheist suggest. After you read it why were you not convinced.

No. *I've* never read a book attempting to persuade people to become atheist, so I couldn't recommend one to anyone else.

How do you feel/how you felt when you read your favorite book?
Marca Páginas

lol sometimes, I get so drowned in it, it's like I have no clue about what's going on around me.

My favorite book just ... when I read it I wasn't here - I was there and whenever I was there I didn't have to deal with being here. I read it when I was 16 and going through what I still describe as the most horrible period of my life. Without that book I would probably be dead right now. I'm not being melodramatic.

Have you ever felt devestated when you finished a book...?

because you know your not going to be able to read something that will match it in a long long time?

If so,which book did you feel like this about?

After reading any of the classics I always feel the way you described and it is difficult to select a book to read ; I usually will go back chronologically with the favored author and read and see how the author matures as a writer and to see if there is a common thread or theme .

Have you ever felt very similar to a character from a book?

Interactive Felt Book

A couple of months ago, I was a guest post at Crafty Critique where I shared this interactive felt book tutorial.  In case you missed it, I'm bringing it back for you today.  I hope you enjoy!!!

There are two things I love about this project: it’s easy to put together {if you have older children, allow them to join in the project} and all of the materials needed are most likely things you already have in your house.

To get started with your interactive felt book, you will need four to five pieces of felt.  Felt is very inexpensive and will cost around $.29 for one sheet.

We’ll be making a 6” x 6” book, so measure your piece of felt and cut accordingly.

Once you have all of you pieces cut to size, find the center and mark it.

Take it to your sewing machine and sew a basic stitch right down the middle where you’ve marked it.  If you don’t own a sewing machine, don’t let this stop you.  You can hand stitch this as long as you have the right needle.  A quilting needle should do the trick.
