12x12 is not the normal size for felt. In fact I don't often see felt in this size. You can check ebay, but other than that, I just don't know.

possible from each square of felt. What is the combined area of the excess felt left over after cutting out all the circles?
a) 4(4 - pi)
b) 8(4 - pi)
c) 8(pi - 2)
d) 32(4 - pi)
e) 8(16 - pi)
Please explain.
Each circle should have its center right in the middle of the square. The square is 4 by 4 (to get 16), so the circle has radius 2.
The area of a circle is pi*r^2 = 4pi for each circle.
In eAch square, the leftover felt has area 16 - 4pi.
There are 8 squares, so the total leftover felt has area
8(16 - 4pi). Factor out 4, and we have 8*4(4-pi) = 32(4-pi).
So D is the correct answer.
just really getting in to this whole crafting thing..and looking for ideas is all..hope you can help..happy holiday's..
Cut two strips about 3"x7" and use the blanket stitch to sew them together along the two long sides and the bottom. It's a great glasses case. Once you've mastered the simple case, add a flap to your design. Cut one strip about 3" longer than the other.
You can make cases for all sorts of little things with felt squares. Take a piece about 4" x 6" or so. Fold the ends in so they meet in the middle and you have a slit opening in the center and your piece measures 4" x 3". Sew the ends shut, and put a pocket pack of tissues in it. Great little gift.
A toy making company has at least 300 squares of felt, 700 oz of stuffing, and 230 ft of trim to make dogs and dinosaurs. A dog uses 1 square of felt, 4 oz of stuffing, and 1 ft of trim. A dinosaur uses 2 squares of felt, 3 oz of stuffing, and 1 ft of trim.
It costs the company $1.36 to make each dog and $1.69 for each dinosaur. The company wants to minimize its costs. What are the coefficients of the objective function?
a. 300, 700, 230
b. 2, 3, 1
c. 1.36, 1.69
d. 1, 4, 1

I have unsweetened baking squares and feel like making fudge. Any ideas of how to turn the baking squares into semi-sweet?
Im sure you could add sugar and melt it but that seems a little to easy for the cooking world. I would wait for a better response :)
You know those felt squares (actually, they are about A4 sized rectangles) you can find them at craft stores and also cheap discount stores... Are they made out of wool? Theyre really cheap, like $1.
I hope not, because i'm making something out of this felt and i want to send it overseas but i dont think you're allowed to send wool overseas.
Thanks so much
Wool felt is expensive! The cheap stuff is usually acrylic or polyester. I would assume that unless it mentions wool, it isn't.

Countdown To Christmas: Felt Pinecone Ornaments (11/8/11)
Source: Better Home & Gardens
Today’s project is another one of those ornaments that can stay out throughout the winter months.В I found these on the Better Home and Garden site and fell in love with them.
Materials Template plastic or lightweight cardboard Freezer paper Wool felt: two complementary colors Wooden skewer Fabric glue 2 1/2-inch length of thin wire InstructionsPreparation
1. Prepare the patterns (sign in to the BH&G site).
2. Using an iron on medium heat, press freezer paper, shiny side down, onto felt. Trace patterns A-E onto the appropriate felt colors. Make a small hole in the center of shapes A-D using the point of sharp scissors. Cut out shapes and peel off freezer paper.
3. From either color of felt, cut nine small squares (1/4-inch to 1/2-inch square) to use as separators between pairs of scales. Make a small hole in the center of each square.
Make the Pinecone
1. Slide scales in two-color pairs over a wooden skewer, with a square separator in between pairs, as follows: Two A scales, square, two B scales, square, two B scales, square, two C scales, square, two C scales, square, two B scales, square, two B scales, square, two A scales, square, two D scales, square, two D scales, square.
2. Shift each pair to position individual petals between petals of the prior pair. Cut excess skewer with scissors. Glue E half-scale pieces into a small flower. Glue flower to top of pinecone.
Form the Stem
1. Cut a 1/4×21/2-inch strip from one felt color for the stem. Twist and glue strip around the thin wire; set aside.
2. Using pinking shears, cut a 1-inch-diameter circle from the same color of felt used to cover stem. Make a small hole in the center of the circle. Insert stem through the hole; glue circle and stem to bottom of pinecone. If desired, tie on a string or ribbon to hang from a tree. The ornament also can be tucked into pine branches.
