I have just recently bought a Vintage Prince Lighter that has a Korean or Chinese Lighter and am wondering were to put the flints in at. Any help would be greatly advised.
Assuming this lighter is a zippo type. Flip open the top, grab the shield around the wick with one hand and the body with the other hand and pull it out. Look on the bottom of the "guts", there should be a screw, unscrew this and you'll find a very long spring is attached to it, put the flint in that hole and put the screw and spring back in and you're done.
i have about 77 old vintage camel, Salem, and Winston lighters and also a bunch of other products from camel how much should i sell them for????
Check out ebay and see what they are going for, they have a category for collectable smoking items, Then go from there and list them on kijiji.com or craigslist/
The interior wall studs on my vintage home are only 2/12" thick. Does it matter what thickness drywall I use? I am leaning towards 1/2" as I am doing the work myself and that will be lighter for me to handle. Or do I have to use the 5/8"?
Thanks
1/2 in is standard for residential walls, unless you need fire rating
I am looking to buy a vintage pipe. I'm curious about the differences between different shapes and angles of the stem. Is there any comfort difference? For instance, would a bent pipe be easier to grip between your teeth than a straight pipe of the same weight? How can I determine what shape I want without having the opportunity to try them all?
Second question: I want to buy a lighter for pipe and cigar smoking. Is butane the best, and are lighters better than using matches? What about brands? I'm looking to spend around $50 or so.
To me it does not matter if I am smoking a bent pipe or a straight pipe, they don't cause any discomfort to me. If you want to find out about all the different shapes check out this link. http://www.aspipes.org/shapes/shapes.html
That will give shape names and descriptions.
For lighting a pipe, I use a zippo and I use a butane pipe lighter. The key to a zippo is to let the flame burn for a couple seconds before applying to the tobacco. My butane pipe lighter is a lotus. They have other brands out there, colibri.
