Zippo lighter won't work after my flint broke?

My Zippo lighter flint broke a piece off. I unscrewed the flint holder. There is still a lot of flint left. It still sticks out of the flint hole to where you can you see it because the spring is pushing it up but it won't spark at all. Do I need to get a whole new flint because one piece broke or is there a way to fix it?


That piece of metal at the end of your spring that doesn't come off is not the flint. It kinda looks like it, but the flint just slides in and does not attach. Just throw a new flint in the hole and your're good to go.

**Tip: Put 2 flints in the hole before you put the sping back in, that way when the first flint runs out there is a second one right behind it.

I purchased new zippo and I want to originality of my lighter and fluid as I in India shopkeeper are selling lots duplicate zippo. Plz help me out how check its genunity

Zippo lighters have a life time guarantee. Why don't you send it back to the company and ask them to check if it is genuine or not and have them send it back to you.

Zippo lighter help please.?

My dad put regular butane lighter fluid in my zippo. It wasn't a lot so will I still be able to use the same flint if I put regular fluid in it?

Also the bottom thing that you you have to pull up to fill kinda got frost on it is that still okay?

where can i get some cool (vintage) zippo lighters for cheap? and where can i get some display cases for them?

i want to start collecting zippo lighters and i dont want to spend a whole lot on starting my collection. i know ebay is a good start but do you have any other suggestions? also i need some display cases for them..... the kind that hang on the wall. i want them to be able to hold the lighter an the cases at the same time if thats possible. thanks!

Problems lighting my Zippo lighter.?

My zippo is brand new, but of course i've used it a lot.
My "striker" (i guess you could call it; the rolling cylinder that makes the spark) won't turn anymore. Is it a common problem, or is it a build up of the flint rub offs? How can i fix it??


Buy another one, what are they like $1.49?
