ive just been looking at the fat per 100g on a tin of petit pois asnd its the same as a tin of low fat rice pudding, both say they contain 0.9g per 100g, how can the milky rice pudding be the same as the peas ? and i didnt think vegetables usually contained any fat so where does the fat come from ?

I would imagine its the Juice they come in ,Fresh Veg is better for you ,Or even frozen foods

I just tried an experiment and I used extra foil to wrap around the rocket. The more foil I added the further the rocket travelled!

What is the purpose of tin foil? what does it do exactly?
can you use anything else besides foil or not?

My match rocket just travelled 4m which looked amazing...

and with the smoke bomb you get a table tennis ball and wrap it in foil then light it. Does the foil compress oxygen or something? is that why its important?

In my physics class I need to build a boat made of a square sheet of tin foil and 15 popsicle sticks. I can use a glue gun to glue the popsicle sticks to the tin foil but the tin foil must be in one piece. What is the best way to build this? I need a boat that can support at least 7kg.
Please indicate your sources. If you're a professional (like a physics professor or something) please tell me.

I want to make a cake and it says to use a springform tin, but as I don't have one I was wondering wether it would make a difference if I used a normal round cake tin.

Yes, you can use a cake round.

There are advantages to both. A cake round is the best for most cakes. Just make sure you grease it well before baking.

If your baking a cheesecake, I would steer clear of a springform pan. Since a cheesecake is a custard based cake, its safest if you cook it in a water bath to prevent the eggs from overcoagulating. If you are using a springform pan, the seal may not form tight enough and water could get into your cake.

i have looked at various suppliers of tin ceilings such as mboss, and american tin ceilings and valley tin works, mboss makes their stuff in alluminum and american tin ceilings product looks cheap, valley tin works samples are very very pretty and seem to be made well but they cost a bit more than others..... any help or experience out there?

You can read more about tin ceilings and backsplashes at the wikipedia entry (link below) which, interestingly enough, cites Chris Plummer (owner of Valley Tin Works) as quite the authority on finishes.

I checked out the site http://valleytinworks.com/default.html and they have some really, really pretty stuff, especially compared to Brian Greer or American Tin Ceiling. If you're going for authenticity and quality, I think I'd start there... Good luck!
